Dear HR Strategy Team,

I am a motivated professional with critical operational proficiency and extensive Country Manager experience. I have recently relocated to HCMC, and  wished to contact you to discuss potential employment opportunities here. I believe that my professional background and drive make me an ideal candidate for a senior management / Country Manager role. 

Originally from Ireland, I have 25 years of international management experience, in Ireland, the Middle East and Russia. I have held progressively senior sales and regional management roles in FMCG companies such as Coca-Cola, Mondelez and Gallaher Group, before establishing my own relocation company in Russia.

I have recently moved to Ho Chi Minh to join my partner, who relocated last year after she was appointed Principal of an international kindergarten in the city, and I am now seeking a new challenge in a structured international environment that will allow me to leverage my considerable strategic, operational and leadership experience in a multicultural environment. 

As GM of Troika Relocations, I was responsible for the strategic and operational leadership to our service delivery team in Russia and throughout the former Soviet Union, and for managing client relationships with a mix of relocation companies, multinational clients and their expatriate families.

–        Process driven – Became the first destination service provider in Russia to achieve the EuRA Quality Seal certification (ISO equivalent).

–        Built and developed senior business relationships with a number of Relocation Management Companies, becoming a preferred partner in multiple markets.

–        Implemented an effective CRM system to streamline process delivery and allow client and HR remote access.

–        Established client relationships with key multinational and local clients.

–        Previously, as Commercial Director (Moscow) of Gallagher Group, I grew sales volume to over 50m USD per month.

–        Developed annual volume and KPI targets with built in regular review processes for direct and indirect sales team.

–        Built multiple sales teams across Russia and Middle East.

I also believe in supporting and maintaining community links both locally and with Ireland, and as such have served on the Board of the Irish Business Club, with responsibility for charity fundraising, and played a key role in organising cultural events and activities. For the last 2 years, I chaired the HR Committee of the Association of European Business in Russia, the primary business lobbying and networking organisation, and regularly attended and have presented at EuRA and ERC annual conferences, where I was asked to share my experiences and successes.

Owner / CEO, Troika Relocations                                                                       2007 – Present

Owned and managed Troika’s operations in Russia and CIS, providing relocation support services to multinational and local corporations. Managed relationships with Relocation Management Companies, and the local offices of international and Russian companies to ensure consistent delivery of destination and immigration solutions.

–        Overall strategic, operational and financial responsibility for the business on a day to day basis.

–        Implemented an effective CRM system to streamline process delivery and allow client and HR remote access.

–        Built and developed senior business relationships with a number of large Relocation Management Companies, multinationals and local partners.

As General manager, I was tasked with developing and implementing management, financial, and operational systems for a rapidly expanding real-estate company, to prepare for sale to a strategic investor.

–        Established innovative revenue-generating departments.

–        Recruit, train, and mentor a senior management team to deliver an exceptional customer experience.

–        Create team-based business structures across divisions; and contribute to the professional development of the senior management team.

–        Spearheaded 38% annual profit increase; improved lease revenues 20%.

–        Successfully completed sale of strategic stake to Savills, the UK’s leading real estate agency.

 

1990 – 2005 Sales Leadership roles in blue-chip FMCG companies in Ireland, Middle East and Russia (The Coca-Cola Company, Gallaher Group, Dirol-Cadbury, New Zealand Dairy Board)

After two years in a regional manager role in Saudi Arabia with New Zealand Dairy Board, I moved to Russia in 1996 with Coca-Cola, and spent 10 years in increasingly senior sales and regional management role in Russia and Ukraine, culminating as Sales Director with Gallagher Tobacco, responsible for sales volume of up to $50m per month.
